At Berrinba Special School, we want school payments to be simple, flexible and easy to manage for every family. We offer a range of payment options so you can choose what works best for you. Our administration team is also here to help if you need support setting up QParents, understanding an invoice or working through the best payment option for your family.
QParents
QParents is a free online application that allows parents to access and manage their student's information, complete payments & administrative tasks and stay connected with their student's school. This gives our new school community an easy way to see outstanding invoices, make secure online payments and keep track of payments and information in one convenient place. Using QPARENTS also helps reduce payment administration for our school allowing our team to spend more time supporting students, families and our school community. We encourage families to register for QParents wherever possible. Information about registration will be provided as part of the enrolment process, and our administration team will be happy to help you get set up.
Alternative payment options
We understand that every family is different, so we also offer other convenient payment options.
QKR!
The Qkr! app can be used for eligible school payments and provides another simple digital payment option from your phone.
EFTPOS at our school office
EFTPOS is available at the Berrinba Special School administration office each school day until 12.30pm.
Most major bank cards are accepted, including payments using Apple Pay and Google Pay.

$150 Back to School Boost
The Queensland Government’s $150 Back to School Boost provides primary school students with funding that can be used towards school-related costs.
For enrolled students, the $150 allocation will be applied to the individual student’s school account.
Families will then have the opportunity to nominate how they would like their child’s allocation used.
This may include:
- swimming lessons–our recommended option
- excursions
- incursions
- eligible school fees and activities
- other eligible school-related costs advised by the school.
If you are unsure how best to use your child’s allocation, our team can talk you through the available options and help you choose what may be most useful for your family.
School uniforms
Berrinba Special School uniforms are purchased directly through our external uniform supplier.
At this stage, the Back to School Boost cannot be applied directly to purchases made through the external uniform supplier. We will keep families informed if additional options become available.
